Föryngra huden med fraktionerad RF (radiofrekvens) Microneedling.



Föryngra huden med MICRONEEDLING/fraktionerad RF (radiofrekvens) .

RF Microneedling är den senaste anti-aging tekniken som effektivt kan återföra din hud till ett mer ungdomligt tillstånd. 
RF Microneedling är en mycket effektiv behandling för att stimulera och därmed strama upp huden och för att förminska fina linjer och rynkor, särskilt runt ögon, mun och kinder. RF Microneedling minskar också porstorlek, akneärr och stretchmärken. 
OBS! Det är viktigt är att man inte går för djupt in i huden när man använder RF energin... Jag använder ofta micronålarna utan RF energin, eller på en låg intensitet.

Hur fungerar RF Microneedling?
Microneedling använder ultrafina nålar som försiktigt punkterar din hud och samtidigt levererar RF-energi (eller inte). När din hud läker dessa “sår”stimuleras bl.a hudens kollagen produktion, vilket resulterar i en spänstigare och mer ungdomlig hud.
RF Microneedling-enheten använder mikroskopiska nålspetsar, ett nålspetshuvud för varje person, som fästes vid handstyckets ände. Spetsarna punkterar försiktigt hudens yta på olika förutbestämda djup.
Microneedling riktar sig mot hudens underliggande stödsystem och därmed omstruktureras områden som är skadade av åldrande, ärrbildning eller stretchmärken. Genom att bygga om hudens undre stödsystem blir det översta lagret av huden smidigare och starkare.

Vilken är skillnaden på Rf Microneedling och traditionell Microneedling?
Traditionell mikroneedling för hemmabruk använder en handhållen mekanisk anordning med ultra fina spetsar, mestadels mycket korta nålar (0.5mm) för att skapa mikroskador på huden. De penetrerar huden lite från sidan (rund rulle) istället för rakt ner. Dessa rullar har ingen större effekt på kollagen och elastin produktionen utan kan användas för att slussa ner t.ex ett serum lite djupare i huden.   
Det finns även professionella verktyg med endast nålar, de tränger djupare och rakt ner (istället för från sidan). Jag föredrar ju förstås att kunna välja - av eller på RF.
Denna "kontrollerade hudskada" stimulerar kroppens egen läkande respons, ökad kollagen produktion m.m.  
RF Microneedling lägger till elementet med radiofrekvens-energi (värme) till det traditionella mikroneedling-förfarandet.  
 
Vad är radiofrekvens (RF) -teknologi?
RF är i huvudsak elektrisk energi. Inom estetisk medicin används RF-teknik för att försiktigt och säkert värma upp huden. Uppvärmning av dermis till cirka 60 grader Celsius initierar, som sagt, nybildning av kollagen, elastin och tillväxtfaktorer för att synligt strama upp huden.



Tekniken här kan använda monopolär eller bipolär polaritet. Vid monopolär behandling måste en jordningsdyna appliceras på personen. Den används när syftet är att nå djupare in i huden, såsom vid djupa ärr (eller fett reducering...).
Bipolär,  betyder att den elektriska energin leds mellan elektroderna och kräver inte en jordnings dyna (detta är det läge som författaren av denna artikeln föredrar).
RF-enheter klassificeras också som nonablative, sublative och ablative, beroende på om RF-tekniken skadar hudens översta skikt.  
Vi talar här om en RF-enhet som är fraktionerad.
 Att behandla en fraktionerad, alltså en del av huden, gör det möjligt för huden att återhämta sig mycket snabbare och håller risker och komplikationer till ett minimum. 
Med hjälp av en serie behandlingar behandlar fraktionerad RF varje cell minst en gång under serien. På så sätt kan du uppnå samma effektivitet som en invasiv behandling, med färre risker och kortare återhämtning.


Vilka är fördelarna med RF Microneedling jämfört med andra hudbehandlingar?
De viktigaste fördelarna med RF-mikroneedling är att det kan ge liknande resultat som ablativa laserprocedurer, men med betydligt mindre obehag, återhämtning och risk för hyperpigmentering, särskilt i mörkare hudtyper.
RF-mikroneedling stimulerar nytt kollagen och elastin i hudens djupare skikt, samtidigt som man minimalt påverkar epidermis, det mest ytliga hudlagret, som är mest känsligt för biverkningar och eventuell långvarig läkning.
Innan RF Microneedling, när människor ville ha betydande resultat, fick man genomgå behandling med “aggressiva”  lasrar eller djupa kemiska peels. Långa återhämtningstider gjorde det svårt att anpassa dessa behandlingarna till en aktiv livsstil. De var heller inte lämpliga för personer med mörkare hud på grund av betydande risk för postinflammatorisk hyperpigmentering.
Till skillnad från laserbehandling eller djupgående kemiska behandlingar, kan fraktionerad RF leverera energin där den behövs mest, i nedre dermis, samtidigt som “skadan” på hudens yta minimeras. Detta innebär minimal återhämtnings tid utan att offra ett bra resultat.
Eftersom RF Microneedling minimerar skador på ytan av huden så är det ett bättre alternativ, än en del av de hudföryngrings lasrarna som finns på marknaden. när det gäller att förbättra hudens struktur och uppstramning för mörk hud även hud som är benägen till ärrbildning eller hyperpigmentering.


Vilka hud problem kan behandlas med RF Microneedling?
RF Microneedling kan behandla följande problem:
Fina linjer och slapp hud runt ögonen och munnen
Rynkor i ansiktet
Akne/ ärr
Mild till måttlig hud slapphet i ansikte, hals och dekolletage.
Stora, synliga porer
Bristningar

Hur många RF-behandlingar rekommenderas?
De flesta kommer att se betydande resultat med en serie av 4-6 behandlingar med mellan tre och fyra veckors mellanrum. Antalet behandlingar beror på hur väl patienten svarar på behandlingen och svårighetsgraden av deras hudproblem.

Vem är en bra kandidat för RF Microneedling?
RF är en mycket säker behandling som kan utföras i ansikte och på kroppen för nästan alla hudtyper. Biverkningar är sällsynta.
Vad rekommenderas innan min behandling?
Undvik långvarig solexponering 1-2 veckor innan.
Vid användning av Retinol/RetinA produkter så bör de avslutas 7-10 dagar innan behandling, om inte annat har rekommenderats.
Undvik att ta blodförtunnare (dvs aspirin, ipren, naproxen, fiskolja) i minst 10 dagar före. Vid receptbelagda mediciner tala först med din läkare.

Hur går en Rf Microneedling behandling till?
Efter att du redan hemma har rengjort huden och noggrant applicerat en bedövningssalva (1timma innan) över behandlingsområdet för att minska smärtan, vilken kan upplevas olika från person till person. 
Behandlingen tar bara ca.20-30 minuter, beroende på storleken på behandlingsområdet.
RF Microneedling  kan möjligen orsaka lite ytlig blödning av mikronålarna beroende på hur djupt huden behandlas.
Blödningen är dock minimal och försvinner snabbt  utan ytterligare biverkningar eller åtgärder.
Efter behandlingen kan man med fördel använda is (inlindat i tyg eller papper- applicera inte is direkt på huden) eller/och kallluft fläkt för att lugna huden.

  Hur ser huden ut direkt efter behandling med RF Microneedling ?
Din hud kan vara röd direkt efter behandlingen. Men det mesta av rodnaden kommer att vara mestadels försvunnen dagen efter. Den behandlade huden ska hållas ren och inte tvättas förrän dagen efter. Behandlingsområdet kan kännas något grovt, som sandpapper i 2-5 dagar.
Det är inte helt ovanligt att man efter några dagar ser "avtryck" med små prickar/sårskorpor. Allteftersom huden läker så trillar dessa bort. 
Viktigt att inte "pilla" på dem (de kan ibland se ut som en liten comedon/pormask).

Det är alltså  inte så obehagligt efter proceduren och du kan vanligtvis återgå till regelbundna aktiviteter inom en dag eller två. Du kan bära smink 24 timmar efter proceduren för att maskera eventuell återstående rodnad och återgå till din normala, eller rekommenderade, hudvårds rutin efter 1-2 dagar.
Det är rekommenderat att du inte planerar något socialt på behandlingsdagen, utan går hem och tar det lugnt. Undvik heta bad, duscha först nästa dag. 
Om huden känns het och lite obehaglig efter behandlingen så kan man lägga på svala kompresser/is (se ovan), men det behövs antagligen inte. Du borde känna dig bekväm att återvända till jobbet och normala sociala aktiviteter ca. 48 timmar efter behandlingen.  
Mycket viktigt att använda solskydd med minst SPF30 i 2 veckor efter behandlingen (helst alltid).

När kan jag börja se resultat från en RF Microneedling-behandling?
Eftersom fraktionerad radiofrekvens/mikronåls behandling får din hud att producera nytt kollagen och elastin och återuppbygger gamla och skadade celler är resultaten inte omedelbara utan beror på hur snabbt din kropp läker. Mer synliga förbättringar ses vanligtvis 4-8 veckor efter behandling. 
Även om resultaten är synliga redan efter den första behandlingen kommer du att märka mer betydande förändringar i din hud efter den andra behandlingen. Räkna med att se optimala resultat 3-6 månader efter att du har slutfört serien.

Är Rf Microneedling säkert?
RF Microneedling är mycket säkert. Eftersom den levererade energin skonar det mest ytliga lagret i huden minimeras eller undviks de flesta av de potentiella biverkningarna som ses med aggressiva lasrar eller djupa kemiska peels.  

Kan RF Microneedling-behandlingen kombineras med andra procedurer?
Ja. MRF-behandling kan användas för att komplettera andra behandlingar. BOTOX® eller Dysport® kan administreras 3-4 veckor före  MRF för att slappna av överaktiva muskler och därmed rynkor. Fillers såsom Juvederm® eller Restylane® kan utföras efter MRF-proceduren för att ge ansiktet volym och ytterligare minska rynkor.

Varför behöver man (mycket) Magnesium? Hur väljer man Magnesium tillskott ?

Magnesium är en av de mest förekommande mineralerna i vår kropp, och hela 50% finns i vårt skelett. (viktigt med balans mellan kalk och Magnesium!) Med andra ord en mycket viktig mineral.
Magnesium, liksom zink, är en nödvändig cofaktor för mer än 300 biokemiska reaktioner i kroppen.
Viktigt i många dagliga kroppsprocesser såsom uppbygge av muskler, nervfunktioner, immunförsvaret och bistår till starka och friska hjärtslag.
Det bidrar till att minska trötthet och utmattning och normal psykologisk funktion m.m.

Vad alla kanske inte vet är att det finns olika typer av Magnesium för olika syften.

Nedan beskriver jag 9 olika typer.

1. Magnesium Aminosyre kelatering* - förenklat =*en jon av magnesium oxid har "satts ihop" med en blandning av någon aminosyra t.ex Glycine, Aspartate, eller Arginate (dessa är bästa aminosyrorna för ändamålet)

2. Magnesium Oxid . Denna formen används för laxerande verkan och även för att neutralisera sura uppstötningar s.k acid reflux
Oxid formen visar en hög aktiv koncentration men tyvärr låg nivå av upptag i blodet (bioavailability)
bara 4%.

3. Magnesium citrat Utvinns från mag. salt utav citronsyra. Denna formen har en lägre koncentration men stort upptag (bioavailability) hela 90%. Magnesium citrat kan användas för att påverka tarmrörelser vid förstoppning. Man har ochså gjort studier på hur Magnesium citrat kan förebygga njursten.

4. Magnesium orotate  detta är nog den mest effektiva formen av Mag. tillskott
Både växter och djur använder orotic syra för att skapa DNA och RNA.
Forskning av bl.a Dr. Hans A. Nieper har visat att orotat kan penetrera cellmembran och därmed  göra det möjligt att effektivt leverera Magnesium jonerna till de innersta lagren av mitokondria och cellkärnan.(där energi tillverkas) . Mag.orotat har många egenskaper som kan hjälpa till att skydda dej och din hälsa.

5.  Magnesium klorid  Denna formen har måttlig koncentration, men högre upptag än oxid formen
Mag. klorid har många användningar, vanligast vid framställning av papper, vissa typer av cement och brandskyddsmedel.

6. Magnesium laktat  har måttligt upptag, men större än oxid formen. Denna formen används mest för att behandla matsmältnings problem. Obs! Denna formen bör inte användas av de som har njurproblem eller relaterade sjukdomar.

7. Magnesium sulfat en oorganisk form med 10% koncentration och lågt upptag. Innehåller magnesium, svavel och syre, kallas oftast Bittersalt, vilket kan bäst användas i badkaret för att lindra ömma muskler.

8. Magnesium karbonat denna formen har måttlig koncentration och 30% bioavailabilty. Den har en starkt laxerande verkan vid högt intag. Den kallas ochså för krita(!) och används ofta utav tyngdlyftare, bergsklättrare och gymnaster för att få bra grepp.

9. Magnesium Glycin, Malat och Taurat Kelaterade former som är mindre koncentrerade men de har mycket bra upptag.

Magnesium tas med fördel tillsammans med Kalk och Zink.

10+ symptom vid Magnesium brist:

part 2 Adrenal Fatigue ENGLISH VERSION. Suggested diet and treatment


Suggested diet and treatment for adrenal fatigue Part 2 of 2

The diet should be free of sugar, white flour, caffeine, refined carbohydrates, alcohol, hardened fats, soft drinks and other junk food.

It should be organic and include three meals or five smaller meals a day filled with an abundance of nutritious foods such as fresh vegetables and fruits, nuts, seeds and healthy oils such as walnut oil and olive oil.

A diet for adrenal fatigue should be high in meat protein such as chicken, turkey, beef, or other meat such as pheasant, duck and ostrich. Eggs are also good.

Furthermore, the diet should contain lots of water, which is preferably filtered and free of chlorine, fluoride and other impurities.

Some people find it beneficial to take 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon of salt in a glass of water upon wakening, unless you have high blood pressure. This helps those who have a low level of aldosterone. If you have a worsening of the symptoms when you try this technique, then you should stop.

Avoid eating fruit on an empty stomach. Eat protein and possibly a little healthy fat at the same time (this causes the fruit sugar to be absorbed more slowly). Try to stick to fruits that have less sugar, such as raspberries, blueberries, black berries, strawberries, apples, pears, plums and kiwi. Avoid fruit juices.

Salt your food to taste, but use sea salt or other real mineral salts.
Complex carbohydrates should also be limited, as they are rapidly broken down into sugar in the body and can therefore cause damage, as previously explained.

The best adrenal fatigue diet is a slightly modified version of the paleolithic diet, which contains a generous amount of meat protein and healthy fats, lots of low carbohydrate vegetables with a small amount of fruit, nuts and seeds. 
Corn, beans and potatoes should be completely restricted or avoided. This will help to provide a fine even amount of energy throughout the day and provide the body with the types of different foods it is intended to eat. This will nourish the adrenal glands and keep them more balanced and not over stimulated.

Adrenal fatigue treatment may consist of providing support through various lifestyle changes, diets, dietary supplements, glandular extracts and adrenal hormone therapy.

But the steps you take to recover will depend on the phase of adrenal fatigue you are in, and how your body reacts. Again, it is really important to seek guidance from a knowledgeable healthcare practitioner who has expertise in adrenal fatigue treatment, and who is also knowledgeable about the advanced stages of adrenal fatigue.

For a person who is suffering from adrenal fatigue, it is very important that the right steps are taken in the right order, and not to hurry.
The dosage of nutrients must be right for each individuals body, and some herbs and/or nutrients that stimulate the glands might only make matters worse. 
The plan and treatment that works will be unique to each person depending on their particular situation.

For example, someone who is at an early stage may notice that gland extracts can be very beneficial, but someone who is already in the adrenal fatigue phase is likely to have worsening symptoms from glandular extracts. 
For example, people in the early stages will need a different dose of vitamin C and Pantethine (form of B5 vitamin) than a person with advanced adrenal fatigue. 
Someone in the earlier stages can benefit from i.e. liquorice root, while the person in exhaustion will be more incapacitated by this.

Reduce unnecessary stress and rest as much as possible. This is the crucial first step.
No caffeine
No alcohol or drugs - alcohol is a very refined sugar.
No sugar, white flour or refined foods.
Get regular exercise - easy going (!).

Exercise that is too demanding, extreme or strenuous will put too much stress on the adrenal glands and break them down. However, easy training can help them work better.
Make sure you get enough sleep and go to bed no later than eleven o'clock, the adrenal glands (and some other organs) make the majority of their "repair work" between 10pm and 1am (according to Chinese medicine principles)...
Use stress-relieving and relaxing activities regularly such as meditation, deep-breathing exercises, soothing music, writing, going out in nature, art or any other outlet for creativity and relaxation.
Add 1/8 to 1/4 of a teaspoon of sea salt to your drinking water - not if you have high blood pressure or experience negative symptoms.
Cortisol - A therapeutic dose of natural hydrocortisone (Not Prednisone) is often used as a treatment to support the adrenal glands and give some relief from fatigue, but it acts only as a temporary band-aid. The adrenal glands have to be nourished back to health.
You can do a saliva test (ex. ZRT labs / USA) to measure your cortisol levels, morning, noon, afternoon and evening. Then, depending on what your results are, cortisol can be supplemented accordingly. Usually only physiological doses of 5 or 10 mg of cortisol, administered for each time slot indicating low cortisol production (according to saliva lab test). 
Low, therapeutic doses, of natural hydrocortisone, do not have the adverse health effects of other cortisone products such as Prednisone. 
Repeating- it is important to be aware that supplemental cortisol does not heal the glands, it acts as a band-aid, and the adrenal glands can continue to deteriorate if not nursed back to life.
Dietary Supplements, Herbs and Glandular Extracts - There are many dietary supplements and herbs that are used. It will vary among healthcare practitioners and with each individual. 
The two most important nutrients for someone with adrenal fatigue or adrenal fatigue are vitamin C and pantethine. Pantethine is the more readily absorbed form of pantothenic acid (B5). Others may include B vitamins complex, D-ribose, licorice root, siberian ginseng, rhodiola rosea, adrenal glandular extract, magnesium, chromium and glutamine.
It is important to note that although d-ribose is considered to be one of the most beneficial nutrients for someone with adrenal fatigue, though for some people suffering with Candida (fungus) over growth it may be contraindicated . You may find that some of the adrenal fatigue specialists will argue that d-ribose will not worsen candida, but that is not necessarily true.
In theory it should not happen, but what happens in real life is often different than in theory.  

Rehabilitation of the limbic system - and restoring the balance of the autonomic nervous system, so that the adrenal glands are not constantly forced to work, is the most important component of recovery.
Another very important point to consider is that the treatment protocol for all adrenal fatigue should be individualized, based on the unique needs of each person. What works for one person can be harmful to another. It is always recommended that you work closely with a knowledgeable person who can help you determine which measures are best for you, and find the right balance of nutrients and supplements needed for your biochemistry. 
The worse off you are, the more important this is.

The road to recovery is usually not a fast, nor a straight road, it takes time and commitment. The road is usually lined with a lot of setbacks, and progress is a slow process. This is especially true if you are in the adrenal fatigue phase. The recovery must include addressing and creating a hormonal balance and also addressing any imbalance of the thyroid gland.

Do you have adrenal fatigue?
This is one fairly accurate way to test for (advanced) adrenal fatigue:  
Take your blood pressure(or have someone take it for you) lying down, and write down the numbers. Hold the cuff around the arm and stand up. Take your blood pressure again immediately after standing. In a healthy person, the blood pressure will rise as they stand. In a person with adrenal fatigue, the blood pressure will fall when they stand up.

However, the most common method, that I am aware of, is the cortisol saliva test. Blood samples are not reliable because they also show "bound cortisol" while the saliva test shows what is unbound and circulating (biologically active), which is what we need to know. Many people show a normal blood test, but lower than normal in saliva testing.

Saliva testing can be done very easily with a simple home test kit. You collect your saliva, according to the instructions and send it back to the lab and they return your results. I use ZRT labs.

Hormones and neurotransmitters

The adrenal glands work with hormones and neurotransmitters. When there is depletion or failure in one of these areas, there are usually problems in other areas, so it is recommended to evaluate these levels as well. The adrenal glands need balanced hormones and neurotransmitters to function properly and the neurotransmitters are also affected by hormone levels and adrenal glands. It is a mutual relationship and in order to restore the balance, all must be remedied.

I have chosen to write about this because it affects so many people and they often do not understand what is happening in their bodies.
Hope this can help YOU, or maybe someone you know!

The following is partly based on personal experience.

Adrenal fatigue, popular name - "burnout"

Adrenal fatigue, is virtually an epidemic in our society today, and it is responsible for a large number of debilitating symptoms, yet most people are unaware that they are afflicted. Adrenal fatigue, sometimes also called adrenal insufficiency, develops when the adrenal glands can no longer produce their hormones adequately and do not function optimally.

The adrenal glands are two small glands the size of a walnut that sits on top of the kidneys. They play a very important role in your emotional and physical health. They are responsible for the production hormones that are important to many of the body's functions and systems, such as maintaining blood sugar, managing stress and fatigue, regulating the immune system and inflammatory responses, normalizing blood pressure and regulating our fight or flight response. Poorly functioning or depleted adrenal glands lead to excessive fatigue, craving for sweets and caffeine, inability to cope with stress, unstable blood sugar and a host of other debilitating symptoms.

The outer part of the gland is called the adrenal cortex and this is where cortisol, aldosterone, DHEA and a small amount of sex hormones are produced. The inner part of the gland is called medulla and it produces norepinephrine and epinephrine, also known as adrenaline.
The most crucial stress hormone produced by the adrenal glands is cortisol, as it counteracts stress. It supports our need to deal with stress. When the adrenal glands are tired or exhausted, they can no longer produce enough cortisol. When there is not enough cortisol in the body, the individual is susceptible to autoimmune diseases, chronic pain syndrome, chronic fatigue, asthma, allergies and more. In an effort to self-medicate the individual often takes drugs and alcohol, or caffeine and sugar which only aggravate the problem.

DHEA is an important hormone because it defends the body against the breakdown from chronic stress and is the precursor of estrogen and testosterone. It works in conjunction with cortisol to support the stress response, it assists by building and providing energy, generating a little "break" while cortisol opposes.
DHEA has also lately been touted as "the anti-aging hormone.
As with many other hormones, levels decline with advancing age, but there are also other factors that play a role in affecting our hormone balance, stress being one of them.

Another important adrenal gland hormone that you do not hear so much about is Aldosterone. It regulates the balance of sodium and potassium in the body, which in turn helps control blood pressure, electrolytes and fluid distribution. It can also be weakened and contribute to adrenal fatigue. Low levels of aldosterone are often accompanied by low levels of cortisol, but not always.

The longer one goes without adrenal glands that work satisfactorily, the more symptoms develop. If it lasts for a long time, other organ systems begin to break down as they try to compensate for the tired adrenal glands.

Adrenal fatigue usually occurs in phases and the longer it goes on the more symptoms appear and the more serious the issue becomes. In the early stages of adrenal fatigue, you may respond fairly well to a variety of natural treatments, but as it progresses, substances that would normally help in a particular situation can actually make the problem worse.

When adrenal fatigue is allowed to progress. without intervention, the adrenal glands can hardly function at all. The individual has difficulty being active throughout the day and trying to manage stress feels like a monumental task. The general health, at this time, is seriously compromised. This is a dangerous stage and needs guidance from a knowledgeable health practitioner with expertise in advanced adrenal fatigue. If not enough attention and care is taken, advanced adrenal fatigue can lead to death.

How does adrenal fatigue develop? - Causes of adrenal fatigue:

Stress hormones are needed when we face a dangerous, threatening or emergency situation, they give us the extra strength, energy and alertness to effectively deal with the situation. However, overstimulation of stress hormones is what leads to adrenal fatigue.


The primary organ-stress system involved in this is called the HPA axis. This involves a complicated interaction between the hypothalamus, pituitary and adrenal glands. This axis is responsible for controlling virtually all organs, hormones, nervous system activity, storage and energy consumption, regulation of the immune system, regulation of stress reactions and a host of other organ processes such as digestion, mood, emotions and sexuality.

When stressed, the pituitary gland secretes a hormone called corticotropin releasing factor, or CRF, it flows through the pituitary gland and further stimulates the release of adrenocorticotropic hormone or ACTH, which then stimulates the adrenal glands to release cortisol. This process makes you alert and gives you the energy needed to handle the stressful event.

In a normal circumstance, when the threat (the stressful event) has passed, these hormones decline and the body returns to its "non-voltage" state.
But, at a fast pace, high stressed life, which most people live in nowadays, diet choices etc. takes its toll on the balance of our hormones.
Over stimulation of the adrenal glands causes them to release high levels of stress hormones on a regular basis. The body is in a constant state of fight or flight and finally "burns out". When cortisol is released too much and too often, the adrenal glands eventually stop producing cortisol at the levels required for optimal function - adrenal fatigue arises.

Over-stimulation can arise from a one-time event where intense stress, such as the loss of a close relative, divorce, a medical crisis, chronic illness, or it may be the result of chronic, continuous stress in your daily life that eventually slowly breaks down the adrenal glands.

Over-stimulation is caused by the following main factors:
Excessive stress
Too much stress in our lives is # 1 on the list of causes of adrenal fatigue. This can be from the requirements of your job, family problems, financial challenges, health conditions, too many responsibilities, relationship problems, etc. Everything in your life that causes you stress can lead to adrenal fatigue.

If you grew up with abuse in your childhood, then you may develop adrenal fatigue as s very young person. A child living with child abuse is in a constant state of struggle or flight. Their adrenal glands can never rest because their body constantly secretes high levels of stress hormones, such as cortisol.
Under this kind of terrible conditions, the brain is flooded with cortisol repetitively and exaggerated. Over time, this damages the brain and adrenal glands. In an attempt to adapt to the situation, the brain lowers the threshold at which cortisol is produced to a dramatically lower level, but the system remains in a hypersensitive state.
When a child is exposed to continuous and overwhelming stress early in life, such as abuse and violence, it alters the production and release of their stress regulating hormones such as cortisol and important neurotransmitters such as i.e. adrenaline, dopamine, serotonin and GABA.

This scenario also applies to other stress events, domestic violence, survival of a natural disaster, prisoners of war, civilians living in a war zone, living with a chronic health condition, poverty or any other event that threatens your livelihood and puts you in a constant state of hyper vigilance.



Sugar, white flour and other refined foods
The human body is not genetically engineered to consume white refined sugar, white flour and other refined junk food, as they are free of all nutritional value. A diet that lacks nutrients provides a continuous burden on the adrenal glands, the liver, the pancreas and other organ systems.
When we eat sugar, white flour and other refined foods, they are absorbed very quickly by the body and causes our blood sugar levels to rise rapidly to an excessively high level. This sends an emergency signal to the pancreas to reduce blood sugar levels. It responds by secreting an excessive amount of insulin to address the excessive levels of blood sugar.
This, in turn, causes the body to urge the adrenal glands to release cortisol to restore (lower) blood sugar levels, as cortisol works in conjunction with insulin to keep blood sugar in balance. Every time you eat sugar and refined foods, the pancreas and adrenal glands go through this cycle and causes excessive demands on them.

Since the adrenal glands are stimulated over and over again, they try to regulate this vicious pattern, but they become depleted and can no longer secrete the amount of cortisol necessary for its function. Thus, blood sugar ends up at a consistently lower level leading to the problem of hypoglycemia, in addition to adrenal fatigue.

Caffeine
Caffeine raises our stress hormones. It triggers the body to release noradrenaline and adrenaline, hormones that are involved in our stress response, also known as fight or flight response. As mentioned above, stress hormones are needed when we face a dangerous, threatening or emergency situation, they give us the extra strength, energy and alertness to effectively deal with the situation. But in the case of caffeine, there is no emergency to deal with and your body is put into this stressful fight or flight response, for no reason whatsoever. Your body is in a chronic state of stress.
One hour or so after you consume caffeine, the stress hormones dissipate, you feel tired, hungry and cranky and you want more caffeine. This repetition wastes the adrenal glands unnecessarily and over time it leads to adrenal fatigue.

Nicotine
Nicotine affects the liver to release high levels of sugar. As mentioned above, when the blood sugar goes up, the pancreas is stimulated to release insulin, to bring down the blood sugar level in the blood. This results in a "dumping" of the blood sugar level and thus an excessive release of insulin and cortisol. Every time you smoke a cigarette, it results in this vicious cycle, and will eventually burnout the adrenal glands.
It shall also be mentioned that tobacco is fermented with sugar.

Contaminants
Common everyday chemicals found in your personal hygiene products, detergents, perfumes, air purifiers, cologne, dishwashing detergents, cosmetics, housing construction, laundry soap, pesticides, herbicides, etc. contain hormone-disrupting substances, and are also a leading cause of adrenal fatigue.

The adrenal glands are one of our most important glands, they are strongly involved in the endocrine system (hormonal system).
We are constantly exposed to endocrine disruptors through our food, air and water. They bind to the hormone receptors and prevent the normal functioning of the endocrine system. This results in a variety of abnormal reactions throughout the body. Keeping the endocrine system in balance is a very sensitive process and a very small amount of toxins may cause injury.

In some cases, these hormone-disrupting substances imitate our own hormones, causing an excess, while in other cases it blocks the hormones from being produced or impairs the proper functioning.
The body does not have the ability to break down most of these types of toxic chemicals. Once they have entered the body, they are extremely difficult, and sometimes impossible, to eliminate. They accumulate in our tissues and fat cells and constantly circulate throughout the body.

When the adrenal glands do not work properly, you cannot handle stress satisfactorily. This results in a vicious circle where the tired adrenal glands cause even more stress ---} the increased stress levels drain the adrenal glands even more .

Candida overgrowth
On one hand, it is believed that weak adrenal glands allow Candida albicans (a kind of fungus/yeast) to multiply in the body, but on the other hand, it is the toxins that Candida emits that can alter and disrupt neurotransmitters and hormones in the body. This disrupts the endocrine system and further weakens the adrenal glands.

Other common causes of over-stimulation leading to adrenal insufficiency may include chronic disease, chronic infection, excessive exercise (common!),
gluten intolerance, malabsorption or poor digestion, surgery, sleep deprivation, hypoglycemia, alcohol and drug addiction - sometimes people with adrenal fatigue become alcoholics or addicts, in an attempt to calm their symptoms. Since the adrenal glands interact with the hypothalamus and the pituitary gland, a problem in any of these areas can contribute to how well the adrenal glands work.
The adrenal glands are regulated by the pituitary gland and the pituitary gland is monitored by the hypothalamus.

Symptoms of adrenal fatigue
It is very important to remember that the symptoms of adrenal fatigue are shared with a number of other conditions such as thyroid disorders, hypoglycemia, imbalances in neurotransmitters, hormonal imbalances and many others. One should always consult a qualified doctor or health specialist, who is very competent and knowledgeable in this, and who has access to adrenal insufficiency tests to rule out any other problems before assuming you have adrenal fatigue.

People in the advanced stage of adrenal fatigue cannot stand up very long, as they feel too weak. They must remain seated or they stay in bed most of the day.
The main sign of advanced adrenal fatigue is relentless fatigue that is not alleviated by any amount of sleep or rest.
You feel weak, exhausted and tired for no apparent reason.
You have trouble getting out of bed in the morning, even when you have had a reasonable amount of sleep.
 In case of any illness or in stressful situations, it often takes a long time before you feel good again.
Cravings for salt and sugar
Inability to lose weight or weight gain, especially at the waist
Dizziness when rising from a sitting position (low blood pressure)
Shakiness when exposed to even the slightest amount of stress.
Need for stimulants in the morning and during the day, such as coffee and other caffeine containing drinks, even pills.

Increase in PMS symptoms and / or menstruation that is severe and ends and begins again. (hormone imbalance)
Feel a little better for a short period after eating
Often affected by flu or lung diseases.
Oblivion
Feel yourself too tired to enjoy life.
You have more energy and feel more energetic in the evening. However, this only applies in the early stages of adrenal fatigue. If you have advanced to a more serious stage then you have neither the energy of the day nor the evening.
Failure to handle stress is another classic feature in the list of adrenal fatigue syndrome.

Other symptoms of adrenal fatigue may include:

Back or neck pain for no apparent reason
Food allergies
Low body temperature
Feel better when you don't have to deal with stress
Low sex drive
Difficulties in dealing with daily tasks
Dry skin
Nervousness
Constipation and / or diarrhea
Palpitation
Mild depression
Anxiety
Hair Loss
Low blood sugar

Weak and disrupted adrenal glands are thought to be an important contributor in practically most medical and psychiatric disorders, but the following are some of the most common:

Anxiety
Hormonal imbalance
Lack of neurotransmitter
PMS - premenstrual syndrome
Autoimmune diseases

It is important to note that not everyone with adrenal fatigue experiences all symptoms. A person may have only a few symptoms, while another person may be completely incapacitated due to symptoms. This depends on the degree of injury caused, and many other factors such as age, integrity of other organs / gland systems in each person, the phase of fatigue that they have come to, and other conditions that may occur.
